Master’s candidate

Master of Science in Health Informatics

Department of Health Informatics · Kathmandu University · Dhulikhel, Nepal · 2024 – 2026 (expected)

Currently completing a Master of Science in Health Informatics with a thesis on climate-driven prediction of typhoid incidence across Nepal’s 77 districts. The thesis integrates HMIS outpatient surveillance, ERA5-Land and CHIRPS climate reanalysis, DRR-portal flood-event records, and a four-model machine-learning framework that achieves R² = 0.8675 on held-out 12-month test data. Coursework spans clinical informatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, and machine-learning methods for health data. Graduation anticipated summer 2026.

Thesis (PDF) Predictive Modeling of Typhoid Incidence in Nepal — formal scholarly submission
Companion pipeline TyphoidNepalML — Thesis Pipeline — open-source ML pipeline reproducing every figure and metric
Coursework Clinical informatics · epidemiology · biostatistics · environmental health · ML for health data
Output One Master’s thesis · one companion research manuscript · two open-source research-engineering pipelines
